almost anything that connects with the board even loosely.

How to play against him

Tighten up. Call lighter against his bets when you've got showdown value. 4-bet bigger when you do choose to (his calling range is wide and he'll show up with bluff catchers on bad runouts). Be willing to put in big bluffs against his frequent c-bets — he can only continue with so much.

Why he matters

Maverick tests the "aggression pays" thesis. If LAG out-earns TAG over a season, the case for picking up the pace is strong. If he loses to Sentinel, balance and discipline still win.
